Ab April arbeiten Perfact und The Water Compaby (TWC) gemeinsam an dem innovativen und bahnbrechenden Projekt ‚The Natural Bottle‘. Dieses Projekt beseitigt den Abfall in Form von leeren Flaschen. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mit der Einf\u00fchrung einer vollst\u00e4ndig biologisch abbaubaren Wasserflasche setzen sie eine wahre Revolution in der Verpackungsindustrie in Gang. Aber was macht diese ‚The Natural Bottle‘ so besonders? Zun\u00e4chst einmal ist es nicht nur eine Wasserflasche. Diese mikroplastikfreie Flasche ist sowohl f\u00fcr Wasser als auch f\u00fcr kohlens\u00e4urefreie Erfrischungsgetr\u00e4nke geeignet und ist aufgrund der verwendeten Rohstoffe vollst\u00e4ndig kompostierbar. Dar\u00fcber hinaus bietet TWC auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, sie vor Ort zu produzieren, wodurch unn\u00f6tige Transporte hin und her vermieden werden. Es gibt also viele Vorteile, was die Nachhaltigkeit betrifft.<\/p>\n

Von der wiederverwendbaren zur biologisch abbaubaren Flasche<\/h2>\n

Warum ist eine solche Initiative notwendig? Weltweit werden nur 20% der herk\u00f6mmlichen PET-Flaschen recycelt. In der EU und den USA liegt dieser Prozentsatz gl\u00fccklicherweise etwas h\u00f6her, n\u00e4mlich bei 60%. In L\u00e4ndern wie den Niederlanden, Belgien und Deutschland, wo es gute Recyclinganlagen und ein Pfandsystem gibt, ist das Recycling von Plastikflaschen effektiv. In vielen anderen Regionen der Welt, wie z.B. in Teilen Afrikas, des Nahen Ostens, Asiens, Mittel- und S\u00fcdamerikas, ist die Situation jedoch anders. Dort landen die durchschnittlichen Abf\u00e4lle oft in Fl\u00fcssen und schlie\u00dflich im Meer. Eine biologisch abbaubare Flasche kann in diesem Zusammenhang eine echte L\u00f6sung sein.<\/p>\n

PET ist seit den 1970er Jahren ein beliebtes Material, das haupts\u00e4chlich zur Herstellung von Flaschen verwendet wird. Das Problem mit den derzeitigen PET-Flaschen ist jedoch, dass sie nur begrenzt recycelbar sind. Da sich das Material zersetzt, kann es nur f\u00fcr wenige Zyklen wiederverwendet werden. Au\u00dferdem dauert es 450 bis 700 Jahre, bis sich eine Flasche in der Natur zersetzt. Dabei wird auch Mikroplastik freigesetzt, das f\u00fcr Menschen und Tiere sch\u00e4dlich ist.<\/p>\n

Produktion<\/h2>\n

Die Struktur der Flasche besteht aus papierbasierten Materialien und kompostierbaren Polymeren. Dadurch ist es mindestens ein Jahr lang haltbar. Sollte die Flasche nach dem Gebrauch unerwartet in der Natur landen, wird sie dort innerhalb von 180 Tagen vollst\u00e4ndig abgebaut, ohne sch\u00e4dliches Mikroplastik freizusetzen.<\/p>\n

TWC plant, 20.000 Flaschen pro Tag zu produzieren, mit dem Ziel, bis 2026 j\u00e4hrlich 171 Millionen Flaschen zu produzieren. Das Konzept, das aus einer Rezeptur, Rohstoffen und einer Produktionslizenz besteht, wird in Lizenz an Abf\u00fcllunternehmen weltweit verkauft. Die Idee besteht nicht darin, leere Flaschen zu transportieren, sondern in den Abf\u00fcllbetrieben selbst Anlagen zur Herstellung biologisch abbaubarer Flaschen einzurichten.<\/p>\n

Investition Perfact<\/h2>\n

Um zu kl\u00e4ren, wie die Innovationen in den kommenden Perioden aussehen und welche Budgets daf\u00fcr ben\u00f6tigt werden, wurde eine detaillierte Meilensteinplanung erstellt, in der die Entwicklung der Flasche, die notwendigen Studien, der Produktionsprozess sowie der Scale-up-Prozess ausgearbeitet wurden. Michael M\u00fcller war bis vor kurzem in der Rolle des CTO f\u00fcr Perfact t\u00e4tig. Ebenso ist er<\/p>\n

in der Forschung und Entwicklung chemischer Technologien t\u00e4tig war.<\/p>\n

Um TWC zu unterst\u00fctzen, haben wir als Perfact Group in Form einer Beteiligung in das Unternehmen investiert.
