At Perfact, around 200 colleagues are currently working across various clients, roles, departments, and sectors. This time, we introduce you to our colleague Jasper Cop, 28 years old and working as a Piping Technical Planner at Covestro in Antwerp.

Jasper grew up in Beerse and currently lives in Kalmthout, where he participates in co-housing—because, as he says himself: “Living alone is nothing for me.” Let’s get to know him better through six questions.

1. How did you get in touch with Perfact?

I had uploaded my CV on a certain platform, and Ive reached out to me for a position that was open at the time. The contact was very pleasant, and I immediately had a good feeling about it. Initially, I was offered a Mechanical Technical Planner role. However, I didn’t have enough expertise in that field, which didn’t feel right for either me or the client. Later, I was presented with a Piping Technical Planner position, which suited me well. Ultimately, I also find the role of Mechanical Technical Planner interesting and would be open to growing into that position.

2. What do you enjoy about working at Perfact?

I appreciate that you have the opportunity to develop yourself independently within a larger organization. Additionally, I really like that the account managers regularly visit, listen to you, and look for solutions to improve things. This makes me feel recognized as a colleague rather than just a number. The account managers also have the right know-how to match the right person with the right job.

3. If you had to explain your job to your grandmother, what would you say?

My expertise mainly lies in pipe fitting, photo welding, and pipe assembly. However, as a technical planner, I also arrange other aspects to ensure that the work can be carried out properly—such as cranes, scaffolding, insulation, painters, and even traffic measures like road closures and detours. This makes my job very diverse and interesting.

4. Where would you most like to go on vacation?

I’m a nature lover and enjoy being active, so I would go to the mountains—preferably the Pyrenees. Hiking or trail running there sounds amazing to me. I love experiencing the raw power of nature.

5. How do you unwind after a busy day at work?

Cooking in the kitchen and enjoying a good meal! I don’t make fancy dishes, but a nice steak with fries, salad, and a good sauce is something I can really enjoy. I also love Italian cuisine—Pasta Carbonara is one of my favorites, and I make it regularly. My housemate and even the dog (😉) join in on the meal.

6. Do you have any dreams for the (near) future?

In my private life, I love sports, especially running. Running a marathon is still a big dream of mine.
Professionally, I want to work even more independently and continue growing in my role. I also highly value building strong relationships and fostering connections. I want to use all of this to maximize my career potential. Luckily, I feel Perfact’s support in this.
