More than 200 colleagues work at Perfact. Everyone in their own role: at different clients, in various positions, and across diverse sectors. This time, we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Visser, 36 years old, working as a technical planner at Teijin Aramid in Delfzijl.

Kimberly is a real busy bee. For work, she travels across half the country: she lives in South Holland but works all the way in the north of the Netherlands, in Delfzijl.

1. Kimberly, isn’t it a bit extreme to work all the way in Delfzijl?

“You might think so, but for me it works perfectly! On Sunday evening, I drive up north, where I stay until Thursday in a nice B&B. On Thursday after work, I drive back home. This way I avoid traffic jams and can fully focus on my work.”

Kimberly is actually quite used to traveling. She once flew 11,329 kilometers across the world. “That was to Indonesia – an amazing experience to discover another country with a different culture and vibe.”

2. How did you get in touch with Perfact?

“Through Jilke Hellinga, account manager in the Rotterdam region. I knew Jilke from a previous employer.”

3. How do you like working for Perfact?

“I really enjoy it! It’s exactly the variety of the projects that appeals to me. My current role is also nicely challenging. The work is organized in priorities from 1 to 5. The first three priorities mainly focus on general maintenance. As a technical planner, I make sure that malfunctions are resolved as quickly as possible. I take care of all the preparatory work: the planning, communication with any external parties carrying out the repairs, and the associated administration. It aligns well with my previous work experience.”

“The higher priorities are more project-based, with a more planned approach. The tasks are similar, but the timeline differs. I have less experience in this area, but that makes it even more interesting – it allows me to keep learning. And that’s what I love about working at Perfact: you learn a lot in a relatively short time, and you’re not tied to just one company. That freedom and the opportunity to work across the country really appeals to me.”

4. What would you do if you weren’t working at Perfact?

“That’s a tough one! I really love cars and would love to own a garage – preferably in Dubai, filled with expensive cars. Honestly, even working in valet parking over there sounds fun to me.”

“But I would chose completely different: I’m an Instructor in Horse and Behavior. A few less horsepower, but where my true passion lies. Alongside my current job, I’m building my own business in this field. My love for horses started as a little girl when I began taking riding lessons. Later I bought my own horse. Despite the lessons, I discovered that caring for your own horse brought completely different challenges – especially when I couldn’t even get him out of the pasture anymore! That led me to pursue education to better understand horse behavior and training. I realized there’s a real need for this. It’s so fulfilling to help owners with the same problems I once faced.”

5. What kind of job would make you really unhappy?

“A call center job – that’s definitely not for me. I would find it difficult to always stay friendly on the phone, especially when people don’t even want to take your call.”

6. Do you have any ambitions?

“Yes, I’d love to work in Belgium or Germany through Perfact one day. Mostly because I’m curious about different work cultures and eager to meet new people. Privately, my love for horsepower returns: one day I hope to own a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – or at least get the chance to drive one!”
