Food & Beverage

The food and beverage industry is divided into two main segments: production and distribution. Production includes the processing of meat, dairy products, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, packaged foods, and other customized foods. Distribution means that the final product is transported to the consumer. Any product intended for human consumption is part of the food and beverage industry.

The global food and beverage industry is growing at around 5% per year, and global consumer spending on food is expected to reach $20 trillion by 2030.
Food manufacturers face many challenges, including strict government regulations, special working conditions, and complex equipment that requires specific knowledge of maintenance. In short, each industry has its own challenges and problems. Producers in the food industry also have to deal with one important exception: their product is intended for human consumption.
