Perfact employs more than 180 colleagues spread over the regions (South) Limburg, Northwest Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Most colleagues work for a client on a project or are seconded; our Account teams, on the other hand, maintain contact with current clients but are also ready to meet new colleagues or clients.
Also from Antwerp, where Kirsten, Mattias and Ive form a close-knit team for the Belgium region under Maarten’s leadership. Mattias, Account Manager for Belgium is the second in this series we introduce to you.
Tell us briefly about your background, what did you do before joining Perfact?
My previous job had many similarities to the work I do for Perfact now. Only I only focused on Recruitment. I did this for a competitor, both in the Flemish region and the Eindhoven region. The latter was mainly for clients in mechanical engineering.
And then now can you tell us a bit more about your current job? What keeps you busy?
As Account Manager, I work from our office in Antwerp to help grow the Belgian region. I am responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships, attracting new clients and speaking to potential colleagues. In addition, I maintain contact with quite a few Perfact colleagues in Belgium, so that they (hopefully) don’t miss out on anything.
If you had a good working day? What made you really happy?
I get a lot of energy from the successes we achieve as a team. For example, a new colleague starting, a new client, a satisfied colleague…. These are all things that make my day. It is incredibly nice to work with such a close-knit team. There are short lines of communication and friendly relations. A nice working atmosphere is a big motivation for me.
What makes you happy outside work?
After work, I spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and 2-year-old daughter. I also like being active in sports. I play Padel, football and cycle several times a week. I am also always up for a nice party at the weekend.
Is there any particular style of music you like to listen to in your spare time or during those parties?
My taste in music is very diverse. But if I have to choose one, I go for Dutch music. But also that varies; from Bart Peeters and Clouseau to Snollebollekes during apres-ski parties.
Why do you like working for Perfact?
What really stands out is the informal atmosphere that exists within Perfact. The freedom and confidence you are given to take up your responsibilities are also very nice and motivating.
At Perfact we have many different types of vacancies, including in Belgium. Take a look at our website or feel free to contact Mattias and chat further with him.
