Currently Perfact employs about 200 people. All at different clients, with different functions and within different departments and sectors. This time, we introduce you to Robbe de Wever, 27 years old and working as Reliability Engineer at Aurubis in Beerse.
1. Robbe, how did you actually get in touch with Perfact?
I was studying Industrial Engineering Electromechanics. I only had to complete 3 subjects and therefor I had a bit more time. I decided to look for a part-time jobs alongside my studies. I published my CV on an online platform. Maarten found my CV and contacted me. And the rest is history.
2. If you had to explain your function in a simple way, how would you describe it?
I supervise a project in terms of maintenance. I make sure that all maintenance colleagues know enough about the installation. Besides, I also determine which parts and maintenance are provided for the installation. I also organize training and enter the entire installation in a digital system as clearly as possible.
3. What do you like about working for Perfact?
Perfact encourages the development of its colleagues, which is why I have already had the luxury of attending several Lean training courses internally. These help me to carry out future assignments in areas other than Reliability.
4. How far away from home have you ever been and what did you like about this place?
Tanzania was the furthest. It was great to get to know this culture. The people were very friendly and welcoming. With a whole support team, I climbed Kilimanjaro, which was really a special experience!
5. How do you unwind after a busy day at work?
I am quite sporty; I play volleyball in the 1st national team of KVC Zoersel. I currently train 3 times a week and play a match during the weekend. The other 2 days I try to give my body some rest and therefor my seat is my best friend, unless I’m meeting up with friends.
6. Do you have any ambitions for the future?
I like to be challenged in my work. At Perfact they provide this and recognise my potential. So I look forward to the assignments I may encounter in the future.
