Perfact employs more than 180 colleagues spread over the regions (South) Limburg, Northwest Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Most colleagues work for a client on a project or are seconded; our Account teams, on the other hand, maintain contact with current clients but are also ready to meet new colleagues or clients.
Also from Antwerp, where Kirsten, Mattias and Ive form a close-knit team for the Belgium region under Maarten’s leadership. Ive, Recruiter for the Belgian market is the fourth and last from the team in Antwerp that we introduce to you in this series.
Ive, tell us briefly or your current position as a Recruiter. What does it entail?
As a Recruiter, together with my colleague Kirsten, I am responsible for the intake and follow-up of candidates. We search for our future colleagues on various job boards, do the intakes and discuss them with Maarten and Mattias, and then introduce them to one of our clients. Until the new colleague started at his client, we follow up on them.
We also follow up on interviews of the candidates with the client and sometimes go along to visit our colleagues.
Your current position is Recruiter, but what did you do before joining Perfact?
I graduated as a Social Worker, then I first started working at the Centre for Pupil Guidance which is in close contact with schools. Here I guided children with problems at school or at home, for example.
After that, on the recommendation of a friend, I ended up in a job as an HR Consultant, where I first came into contact with recruitment. The human contact within a job is very important to me, which I definitely found in this position.
What makes you really happy in your job?
The good atmosphere we have among ourselves as a team always makes me happy as a person. That makes for a successful working day! When we also make good contacts with (new) candidates or get the news that a new colleague can start, then the day is a complete success.
And privately? What makes you very happy?
I love playing sports. I currently play football and padel. And when the weather is good, I also like to take a ride on my bike. I always do these activities with different friends, which makes it fun all the time. I also like going out, to a café or eating out at a restaurant.
Why do you like working for Perfact?
Still, that informal and pleasant atmosphere in the office and the mutual grant factor in the team. We work as a team of 4 and not as 4 individuals, which of course also contributes to the good atmosphere. And not unimportantly our darts competition which we often play at the end of the working day!
Are there any (sports) events you would like to attend or participate in yourself? And why?
As I am a football fan, I have already attended quite a few matches in Belgium and Europe.
I would like to add a final of a major tournament in the future, think of the World Cup or Champions League. But I would also love to visit a match on another continent, preferably South America, where there is always a lot of atmosphere in the stadiums.
